This portable lamp brings a contemporary touch to the traditional craft of lac wood from Kachchh, Gujarat. Made with durable, water-resistant Babool wood, it combines heritage with modern design.
The lamp’s clean geometric form and black-and-white palette offer a quiet contrast to the vibrant colors usually seen in the craft. Hand-carved details and carefully applied lac colors highlight the skill of the process. A split design houses an LED light, solving both practical illumination needs and preserving the delicate finish of the lac work.
